About the Workshop

Health insurance is becoming an increasingly important part of hospital operations and revenue in India, particularly for eye hospitals. Managing empanelment, claims, audits, reimbursements, and compliance effectively is essential for financial sustainability and abetter patient experience.

Eye hospitals may face challenges in navigating the complex insurance ecosystem involving insurers, TPAs, government schemes, and regulatory requirements. This two-day program aims to provide practical insights, shared experiences, and actionable strategies to help eye hospitals strengthen insurance processes, reduce claim-related challenges, and become more efficient and future-ready.

Objectives:

The program will enable participants to:

  • Understand the empanelment process, including application, tariff negotiation, agreements, and compliance requirements.

  • Improve the claim management cycle, including documentation, standards, non-payables, and timely submission.

  • Identify common causes of claim rejection, deductions, and audit observations and develop preventive processes.

  • Understand the roles, expectations, and working processes of insurers and TPAs.

  • Explore how to effectively structure an insurance desk, including staffing, IT systems, EMR, billing, and finance integration.

  • Understand emerging developments in ABHA, digital health, technology, and AI, and prepare hospitals for the future.
